Roe v Wade: What’s at stake

Posted by staffwriter

39 years ago today, the Supreme Court made a landmark decision to help protect a women’s right to choose. As I listen to the GOP candidates this year, I am reminded of just how important it is to fight to protect these rights. Some of the GOP candidates have me feeling like we are back in the days before Roe v. Wade , when women’s lives were often endangered by having to take matters into their own hands. Today, as we celebrate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade , I shudder to think of electing people who are so willing to take us back to the days when women did not have the right to choose. This anniversary is our annual wake-up call that we still have to fight to protect the right of a woman to choose. Choice for women and their families requires eternal vigilance. So much is at stake. Let us not sit back and allow choice to slip away. There are trigger laws that would take place in over half of our states if Roe v.
